Responsibilities

The Building Analyst is a mid-level role designed for individuals interested in advancing sustainable construction through building performance evaluations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. – Conducting energy audits, analyzing HVAC systems, insulation, and air sealing, and using data to recommend improvements for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
  2. – Ensuring compliance with green building standards and working closely with contractors and building owners.
  3. – Preparing detailed reports outlining findings, energy-saving strategies, and sustainability recommendations.

Skills

  1. Building Science Knowledge: Strong understanding of energy efficiency, insulation, and HVAC systems.
  2. Diagnostic Expertise: Proficiency with tools like blower doors, infrared cameras, and energy modeling software.
  3. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and create actionable recommendations.
  4. Technical Writing: Skilled in preparing detailed and accurate energy audit reports.
  5. Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of green building standards and practices.
