Responsibilities

The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician is a skilled role responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems used to control and monitor building operations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. – Install, program, and maintain automated systems for HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management to ensure optimal functionality and energy efficiency.
  2. – Perform regular system diagnostics, conduct preventative maintenance, and implement system upgrades as necessary.
  3. – Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and building managers to integrate systems and meet performance standards.
  4. – Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building automation systems, using a strong understanding of control protocols and programming.
  5. – Manage time effectively and work independently to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintenance.

Skills

  1. Automation System Knowledge: Expertise in BAS software and hardware systems.
  2. Programming: Proficiency in programming and configuring control systems.
  3. Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve system malfunctions.

  1. OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification
  2. First Aid/CPR Certification
  3. EPA Section 608 Certification
  4. Electrical Safety Certification
  5. Confined Space Entry Certification
