Responsibilities
The Safety Manager is a leadership role designed for individuals with expertise in safety management within the sustainable construction industry.
Responsibilities include:
- – Develop and implement safety policies to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- – Conduct risk assessments and provide training to employees on best safety practices.
- – Oversee incident investigations and maintain compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- – Work closely with project managers to integrate safety measures into all construction phases.
- – Focus on sustainability-related safety concerns, including the proper handling of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient construction techniques.
- – Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the team and construction site.
Skills
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Expertise in OSHA, EPA, and industry safety standards.
- Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Incident Investigation: Skilled in analyzing workplace incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Training & Development: Experience in conducting safety training for employees at all levels.
