Responsibilities

The Estimator is a mid-level role designed for individuals interested in assessing project costs for eco-friendly building initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  1. – Analyzing project specifications, sourcing sustainable materials, and preparing detailed cost estimates to align with budget constraints and green building standards.
  2. – Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to determine labor, materials, and time requirements for sustainable construction projects.
  3. – Reviewing blueprints, conducting market research on environmentally friendly materials, and negotiating with suppliers for cost-effective solutions.

Skills

  1. Cost Estimation Expertise: Ability to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for sustainable construction projects.
  2. Knowledge of Green Building Materials: Familiarity with eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and sustainable construction methods.
  3. Blueprint & Specification Analysis: Skilled in reviewing architectural and engineering drawings to determine project scope and costs.
  4. Market Research & Supplier Negotiation: Ability to source cost-effective, sustainable materials and negotiate with vendors.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of green building standards, LEED certification, and environmental regulations.
  6. Financial & Budgeting Skill: Ensures cost-effective project planning while maintaining sustainability goals.
  7. Collaboration & Communication: Works closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align estimates with project goals.
